2 drown in Laguna, Batangas

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Two persons drowned in Laguna and Batangas on Tuesday.

Woman dies saving 2 drowning minors in Quezon beach

A body was found floating at the Laguna de Bay in Barangay San Roque, San Pedro City, Laguna.

Police said the body, whose identity and gender could not be determined due to prolonged exposure to the water, was discovered by a fisherman.

The body was sent to the Regional Forensic Unit 4-A for examination.

A nine-year-old boy drowned in a creek in Tanauan City, Batangas.

Police said the victim was playing with his friends by the creek when he suddenly dived into the water.

However, he did not resurface, prompting a search and rescue operation by bystanders and residents.

The boy was found unconscious and taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
