17.2% pass March 2024 career service exam

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced that 57,683 individuals or 17.2 percent of the 297,952 examinees for the professional level passed the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) conducted on March 3.

Region IV (Southern Luzon) had the highest passing rate with 9,473 out of 40,549 examinees or 23.36 percent.

Metro Manila and Region III (Central Luzon) followed with passing rates of 23.3 and 23.12, respectively.

These rates account for 12,690 passers out of 54,468 examinees in Metro Manila, and 4,541 passers out of 19,642 examinees in Region III.

Meanwhile, 6,372 individuals, or 17.02 percent, of the 37,433 examinees for the subprofessional level passed the CSE-PPT.

The list of passers can be accessed on the CSC website at csc.gov.ph by clicking the examination results widget found on the left side.

Alternatively, examinees can go directly to the CSC examination portal at exam.csc.gov.ph.

Applicants who pass the CSE Professional Level are granted Career Service Professional Eligibility, which is required for permanent appointment to first and second-level positions in the government including professional, technical, scientific, and managerial positions, and requires at least four years of college education.

Meanwhile, Subprofessional Level passers will be granted Career Service Subprofessional Eligibility, which will qualify them for permanent appointment to first-level positions such as clerical, trades, crafts, and custodial service that require less than four years of college education.

However, CSC said eligibility alone does not guarantee employment in government service.

Applicants must meet all the position’s qualification standards of the position, including education, training, experience, and eligibility.
