The University of the East (UE) confirmed on Sunday, April 14, that all colleges and physical education (PE) classes in both UE Caloocan and UE Manila will transition to online synchronous sessions.

The university added that both campuses' offices will remain open during regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Saturday, April 13, Colegio de San Juan de Letrán (CSJL) made a similar announcement.

The Adamson University (AdU), on the other hand, will only shift to online learning mode on April 15, and the scheduled midterm examinations will be moved to Wednesday, April 17.

Meanwhile, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) will transition to synchronous and asynchronous until April 30.

In contrast, Far Eastern University (FEU) will continue on-site classes and advise students who use public transportation should seek alternative routes.

“Faculty will be asked to accommodate students who are affected by the transport strike and are unable to attend their classes,” the university added.

On April 15, the two major transport groups MANIBELA and PISTON will hold a transport strike to protest President Marcos' announcement that the deadline for franchise consolidation on April 30 will "not be extended."
