The landmark installation created by New invites visitors to witness the fusion of traditional and contemporary artistry that pays homage to the rich history of Binondo. It will be open to the public at the mall’s atrium starting today. Children from Chiang Kai Shek College also joined the unveiling of the installation made out of bamboo and rattan.

Lucky Chinatown will also be hosting a star-studded lineup for its Chinese New Year Countdown, dubbed “Soar Into 2024: A Wooden Dragon's Countdown to Greatness,” on Feb. 9. SB19’s Felip, along with top artists Arthur Miguel, Orange and Lemons, and Maki, will be among the headliners who will be in the mall grounds.

Moreover, the premier lifestyle mall in Binondo also offers a Prosperity Fair featuring a collection of lucky trinkets and delectable Chinese delicacies, as well as the Flavors of Prosperity: Meisic Street Feast. Alongside the grand dragon installation and top-notch music, attendees can partake in immersive experiences and rituals throughout the mall, making it the ultimate destination for the Chinese New Year.

“We're thrilled to celebrate the extraordinary 430-year legacy of Binondo with this new landmark sculpture alongside other festivities we have lined up for everybody. It not only pays homage to our storied past but also symbolizes the exciting journey ahead as we continue to thrive and evolve, and we are excited for everyone to join us in honoring the resilience and unity of the oldest Chinatown in the world,” shared Lucky Chinatown general manager Norico Mizoguchi.
