The report was confirmed in a Viber message that the agency received a message via email threatening to detonate the agency's science-building heritage.

Despite the threat, DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr. assured that necessary security measures have been implemented and that their personnel are now back to their routines.

This incident follows a similar bomb threat received by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Central Office (DENR-Central Office), according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The report said that at around 11:03 a.m., BFP personnel responded to a bomb threat report at the DENR office.

It was later confirmed that the incident was a "false alarm" as no explosives or dangerous substances were discovered.
