For me, who grew up watching films at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) and hosted several MMFF Float Parade in the past (game pa ako sa ganyan ha!), I must say that the yearly festival is not complete without an entry from Regal Films. (naka Shake, Rattle Roll 108 na ata!) That’s why I immediately agreed to attend the media conference of their official entry this Dec. 25 entitled "My Future You," starring the popular love team of FranSeth: Francine Diaz at Seth Fedelin. (at namiss ko na rin maghost ng event sa Valencia Compound ha!)

Tessa Mauricio and I were the interviewees for one segment (nagkaroon kami ng instant talk show ha!) I admire the professionalism of Francine and Seth because they still had the energy to answer our questions even if they already had several sets of interviews before us. (proud kaming mga tita nila!)

FranSeth is one of the most talked about love teams in the country. (panay trending nyan sa X!) No wonder Ms. Roselle Monterverde is confident about producing their launch film. (feeling close ako kay Ms. Roselle ha!)

"We go with the flow kami, kasi siempre nandun na talaga yung pressure. Wala naman mangyayari if lalo pa naming iisipin yung pressure, kaya inienjoy nalang naming yung bawat moment especially pag nag-iimbita na kami ng mga tao para manood. Makita mo lang yung excitement nila, na makita kami, na marinig nila yung kanta ng movie naming, yung curious sila, nakakataba ng puso na po yun. Nakakabawas na yun ng kaba, ng takot," Francine explains. (ako I don't feel any pressure right now!)

“Mas lamang pa rin sa amin yung saya at yung pagpapasalamat. Kung anuman po mangyari sa pelikula, masaya kami. happy kami sa ginawa namin. I-che-cherish naming ito," Seth says (parang gusto ko na ring icherish ang baby nato!)

"My Future You" is the only MMFF  entry that features young stars in a love story, but the stars say it is not just a “kilig” movie (actually kinilig ako habang kausap sila!)

“Siyempre gusto namin magbigay kilig ngayong Pasko, pero yung movie may lalim, may pagmamahal na galing sa pamilya,hanggang sa tayo na yung nagmahal ng special someone natin. Hindi lang sya basta kilig," Francine says.

“Ang tawag namin dyan, hindi rom-com, tawag naming, rom-fam. Romantic family drama," Seth adds. The love team admits that shooting the film made their bond stronger. (ayan na!)

Francine: “Eversince dedicated talaga sya sa trabaho. Mahilig siyang laruin yung characters nya. As co-actors, mas seryoso na kami this time. Kasi yung characters naming mga young adults, hindi na katulad nung mga 14 years old na pwede lang paglaruan."

Seth: “Brainstorm na rin kaming dalawa. Yun yung mas lumalim samin. Yung alam na namin yung gusto naming. Pinag-uusapan namin ano gagawin naming sa eksena na gagawin.”

In their past interviews, they considered each other best friends: is it still the same now?

Francine’s quick reply was: “Bestest Friend! (laughs)” While Seth had a serious reaction: “Mas lumalim kesa best friend.” (at gusto raw nila magkasama sa future ha!)
