The Antipolo City government announced on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, the grant of a ₱20,000 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to its employees.
City Mayor Casimiro "Junjun" Ynares announced that the ₱20,000 SRI has been released to the regular, casual, and contractual employees of the city government.
Ynares said the city LGU workers whose employment at the city hall is classified as job order or under contract of service, are entitled to receive ₱7,000 gratuity pay.
City Hall employees who are regular, casual, and contractual have received their productivity enhancement incentive benefit amounting to ₱5,000.
"Ibinigay natin kung ano ang pinakamataas na pinapayagan base sa guidelines ng national government bilang pasasalamat sa isang taon ng maayos na pagtatrabaho at bilang inspirasyon na rin para mas pagbutihan pa natin (We gave what is the highest allowable amount based on the guidelines set by the national government as a gesture of gratitude to the workers for a year of efficient work and also as an inspiration for us to improve even more), Mayor Ynares said.
“As we celebrate Christmas, let us thank the Lord for all these blessings especially the birth of our Lord and Savior,” Ynares said in a Facebook post which garnered more than 2,000 reactions, 476 comments, and 141 shares as of Dec. 24.
