Cordillera cops net P21.6-M shabu, marijuana

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police seized suspected shabu and marijuana valued at P21.6 million in the Cordillera region from Dec. 9 to 15.

Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief, said 14 drug pushers were apprehended in 42 anti-illegal drug operations.

Seven suspects were high-value individuals and seven were street-level individuals.

Peredo said 58,475 fully grown marijuana plants, 16,950 marijuana seedlings, 69,511 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, one milliliter of marijuana oil, and 88.99 grams of suspected shabu were recovered.

The Benguet Police Provincial Office seized illegal drugs worth P16.4 million, followed by the Kalinga PPO with P4.4 million; Mountain Province PPO, P514,386, and the Baguio City Police Office, P193,012.
