Grammy-nominated group BTS and its members Jimin and Jungkook dominated the K-pop genre on Spotify in 2024.
Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming platform, unveiled its 2024 Wrapped campaign, a yearender list of the most streamed artists, songs, albums, podcasts and audiobooks.
As part of the #SpotifyWrapped celebrations of the top artists and songs that formed the world’s soundtrack this year, Spotify put the spotlight on K-pop, the global cultural phenomenon that has captivated millions of listeners across the world.
Amassing billions of streams this year, BTS emerged as the Global Top K-pop Artist of 2024 Spotify Wrapped.
The group’s members, Jung Kook (No. 2) and Jimin (No. 4), have also ranked among the top five most-streamed K-pop artists globally alongside Stray Kids (No. 3) and NewJeans (No. 5).

2024 Global Top K-pop Songs of Spotify Wrapped are a reflection of the genre’s diverse sounds and styles.
The No. 1 most-streamed K-pop Songs of the Year is “Who” by BTS’ Jimin, which joined Spotify’s Billions Club this year after maintaining its stronghold on the charts since its release.
In second and third respectively are BTS’ Jungkook’s “Seven (feat. Latto)” and “Standing Next To You”. V also joined the list with his soul R&B solo track “Love Me Again” at No. 4, while breakout group ILLIT made their mark with earworm “Magnetic” at No. 5.

Landmark year for K-pop
Global Top K-pop Artists and Songs of 2024 Wrapped reflect the year of remarkable achievements and milestones for the genre, fueled by the unwavering passion of its fandoms.
In addition to Jungkook’s “Seven (feat. Latto)” crossing two billion streams this year, “Standing Next To You” became his second track to join Spotify’s Billions Club.
Another notable K-pop entry to the Billions Club is “Like Crazy” by Jimin, which ranked on the list of Global Top K-pop Songs of the Year at No. 8.
The year also saw exciting new talent breaking through. Alongside “Magnetic” by ILLIT, “SHEESH” by RADAR Korea artist BABYMONSTER also earned a spot in the most-streamed K-pop songs of the year at No. 15.
Having made waves with their powerful performances and unique edgy sounds, BABYMONSTER has also proven to be one of the rising artists to watch as they round off the year on the list of most-streamed K-pop Artists at No. 18.
Additionally, indie rock band wave to earth enters the list at No. 17, signalling the growth of K-indie on the global stage.
Spotify said 2024 was also marked by iconic collaborations that expanded the global streaming footprint of the genre.
ROSÉ’s surprise collaboration with Bruno Mars for “APT.” and LISA’s powerful anthem “New Woman (feat. ROSALÍA)” were standout releases, landing at No. 6 and No. 16 on the list of most-streamed K-pop songs, respectively.
