International dialogue on human trafficking set Nov. 26 in Manila


The Philippines is set to hold on Tuesday, Nov. 26, the 10th Manila International Dialogue on Human Trafficking, the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) said.

“This milestone event unites global changemakers, key stakeholders, and frontline advocates to confront the pressing realities of human trafficking,” the IACAT, which is led by the Department of Justice (DOJ), said in a Facebook post. 

“Through open dialogue, collaboration, and collective action, we aim to break barriers, build bridges, and create a future where freedom and justice prevail,” it added.

The dialogue will be held at the Diamond Hotel in Manila.

The 9th dialogue was held last Dec. 13, 2023.

The IACAT said that those who participated in the last dialogue were members of government, civil society, and dignitaries from other countries.

Aside from the Philippines, the other countries which participated in the 9th dialogue were the Netherlands, Morocco, Panama, Indonesia, Cambodia, Spain, Pakistan, Argentina, Hungary, Finland, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
