Singer Ailee will be getting married next year to a participant of Netflix’s Korean dating show “Single’s Inferno.”
Ailee, 35, and Choi Si-hun, 31, an actor-turned-businessman, will be tying the knot on April 20 next year.
“I met a dependable and thankful person who gave me a shoulder to lean on and rely on, and I thought I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him because of his understanding and consideration. After dating for a year, we decided to get married in April next year,” Ailee announced.

Ailee is known for singing OSTs of popular Korean dramas including "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow" for the hit drama “Goblin” (“Guardian: The Lonely and Great God”).
Choi Si-hun participated as a contestant on “Single’s Inferno” season 1 in 2021. He is running a restaurant and lounge bar in Seoul. He appeared in the drama “Café Kilimanjaro” and “Stand By Curator.”
In May this year, Ailee’s agency announced that the two were dating. In March, Ailee revealed that she was dating a non-celebrity man.
According to Ailee’s agency, A2Z Entertainment on Nov. 19, "The two met through an acquaintance and have been in a relationship for about a year, and in May this year, they promised to get married with affection and deep trust."
"After deciding to get married, they received blessings from both sets of parents and families, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans who have sent their congratulations and support since the news of the relationship was made public," it said.
In her message, Ailee said, “I have some news that I want to personally deliver to our fans who have supported and loved me for 12 years, so I am writing this with all my heart. After the news of my relationship was announced to many people's congratulations early this year, I felt so many emotions. I was so grateful to see you all cheering me on, being surprised, and worrying, but I also felt sorry that I was not the first to tell you the news. I sincerely thank our fans who have been patient with their words since then and have waited for this day.”
“At the young age of 22, I came to Korea alone, living away from my family, and now I am standing before you with the music that I love. From then until now, I think I was able to adapt well to life in Korea without feeling lonely thanks to all of you who have loved and supported me. The bright and energetic me that you raised with your hearts has grown into the person I am now, and I met someone with whom I can share all this love and decided to get married.”
