The local government of Pasig City has distributed modular tents to all 30 barangays in the city as part of its proactive disaster preparedness measures as Tropical Storm Kristine intensified.
The distribution started on Tuesday, October 22, which is essential for the rapid establishment of evacuation centers in case of emergencies due to the typhoon.
The local government said that by equipping each barangay with these modular tents, the city ensures efficient camp coordination and management for the residents' safety.
On Wednesday, October 23, the city's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) also activated an Incident Management Team with the Operations Division and Response Cluster on standby and ready to respond to any emergency situation.
Pasigueños, particularly those living in low-lying areas, were urged to immediately proceed to designated evacuation sites in their area if their barangays implement the preemptive evacuation.
They were also reminded to always bring their Emergency Go Bag.
