BTS’ J-Hope throws first pitch at KBO League Korean Series game


K-pop group BTS member J-Hope threw the ceremonial first pitch at the KBO League Korean Series game on Oct. 23.

J-Hope arrived at the Gwangju-KIA Champions Field in Gwangju, South Korea in a KIA car.

He threw the first pitch for game 2 of the KBO League Korean Series between Kia Tigers and Samsung Lions. The Kia Tigers won the game. 

This was his first official appearance since being discharged from the military on Oct. 17. 

J-Hope, who is from Gwangju, wore a purple glove with “J-Hope” written on it. 

After throwing the first pitch, J-Hope took off his cap and waved to the cheering fans. 

In the military, J-Hope served as an assistant instructor at the 36th Infantry Division new recruit training center in Gangwon Province.
