K-pop idol Chanyeol of boy band EXO surprised fans at his solo concert by performing Filipino rock band Lola Amour’s “Raining in Manila” not once but twice.
Chanyeol (찬열) returned to the Philippines and held his one-night “2024 Chanyeol Live Tour: 都市風景 (City-scape) in Manila” on Oct. 19 at the Araneta Coliseum.

This marked his return to the Philippines. In December last year, he held a fan meeting in Manila.
Manila was the third stop of his live tour after holding it in Seoul, South Korea and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam in September.
“Good to see you again,” Chanyeol greeted fans. “Kamusta? Na-miss ko kayo (How are you? I missed you).”
He added, “Standing here in front of you, I really cannot say anything. I’m so happy. I arrived in Manila three days ago and I ate a lot of delicious food and, of course, I had this time to adjust to the Philippines. I love mango.”
Among the songs he performed at his concert were from his first mini-album “Black Out,” which was released in August and topped 53 countries and territories after it came out.
He opened the show with “Back Again” and “Good Enough,” followed by “Stay With Me,” an original soundtrack for the hit 2016 Korean drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” (aka “Goblin).”
Chanyeol also sang “Minimal Warm,” “Yours,” “Tomorrow,” ‘Telephone,” “Just Us 2,” “Hasta La Vista,” “Ease Up,” “Nothin,’” and “Clover.”
He also performed Lola Amour’s “Raining in Manila” twice. It was supposed to be only one performance but the audience chanted “Isa pa! (One more)” and he gave in to their request and performed it for the second time.
“Finally the moment you guys have all been waiting for. How was the weather in Manila yesterday?” he said before he performed the song.
In addition, he also performed EXO’s hit songs “Lotto”, “Tempo,” “Monster,” “Obsession” “Growl” and “Hear Me Out.”
During the show, Chanyeol also showed photos taken while he was in Manila.
Towards the end of the show, Chanyeol sang “Black Out,” “SSFW,” “I’m on Your Side Too,” “Just as Usual” and “Hasta La Vista.”
“Did you guys make a lot of happy memories? Me too. Actually I’m going back to Korea tonight and I really don’t want to go home. But, of course, if you guys call me back, I’ll fly anytime to be here. Anytime,” said Chanyeol.
He added, “Today I’m really, really happy. So may you have a good night’s rest. Take good care of yourself. Don’t feel so bad because I’m always gonna be so ready to be back anytime.”
