Remulla lauds PRO-3 for immediate arrest of 7 Lulu murder suspects


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla on Friday, Oct. 18, cited the Police Regional Office-3 for the immediate arrest of the seven suspects in the murder of online sellers Arvin and Lerma Lulu.

Remulla, during a visit to the PRO-3 headquarters here, said their coordinated efforts and decisive action quickly brought the perpetrators to justice.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the hardworking men and women of Police Regional Office-3 for their diligence and quick response in capturing the suspects behind Lulu's murder. Your efforts reflect the true spirit of public service and our commitment to uphold the rule of law,” Remulla said as he urged the PRO-3 to continue upholding peace and justice in the community.

Meanwhile, Remulla ordered the PRO-3 to intensify their crackdown on private armed groups in Central Luzon ahead of the 2025 elections. 

He said proactive measures are needed to neutralize these PAGs that threatens safety and security of local communities.

“Our fight against private armed groups must be relentless. I urge the Police Regional Office-3 to double their efforts to dismantle these groups that undermine peace and stability in our region. We must ensure that our communities remain safe and secure, free from the influence of these lawless elements,” Remulla said.

Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, PRO-3 chief, thanked Remulla for his support and vowed to carry out his orders.

“We stand ready to fulfill our mission of dismantling private armed groups and maintaining the peace in Central Luzon. The support and guidance from our leaders strengthen our resolve to serve and protect the people,” Maranan said.
