Smile naman dyan! 500 Pasigueños receive free dentures

To restore their bright smiles, improve their dental health, and boost their confidence, the local government of Pasig City distributed free dentures to 500 Pasigueños coming from the city's barangays.

The distribution was held on Wednesday, October 16, during the “Libreng Pustiso para sa Pasigueño” (Free Dentures for Pasigueños) program at the Rizal High School Gymnasium led by Mayor Vico Sotto.

The beneficiaries were those who registered and were assessed at the barangay health centers in June and were measured for dentures in July this year.

Most recipients were senior citizens, as the program prioritizes residents aged 60 and above. However, non-seniors were also accepted as long as they required full dentures, the city's Public Information Office (PIO) said.

In addition to the denture distribution, health lectures on hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and proper denture care were also conducted.

The half-day event also included flu vaccinations and bone scanning for residents.

The program was part of the celebration for this year’s Araw ng Pasig, which takes place every July 2.
