P6.8-M shabu found floating off Zambales


SUBIC, Zambales – Three fishermen recovered a kilo of suspected shabu floating on the sea of this municipality on Tuesday, October 15.

A KILO of suspected shabu was fished out in Zambales on October 15. 

They turned over the illegal drug valued at P6.8 million to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zambales which said that it was part of the contraband found last October 14 near Lubang Island.

“The fishermen admitted that despite initial hesitation, they ultimately chose to report and surrender the illegal substances,” the PDEA-Zambales said.

These will be submitted to PDEA-Central Luzon for safekeeping and further analysis after which these will be transferred to the PDEA national headquarters for additional profiling.

The PDEA-Central Luzon commended the fishermen for their decision.

It said that fishermen play a crucial role in preventing  dangerous drugs from reaching the community.
