Here’s the list of 24 free online courses from UP Open University

These courses aim to build your credentials and enhance your expertise

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) is once again offering 24 courses this year that are free, self-paced, and open to everyone, emphasizing its commitment to “borderless education.”

The courses cover various categories, including ODeL teacher accreditation, child rights protection, technology for teaching and learning, educational media production, sustainable development, business analytics, introduction to distance education, and more.

These massive open online courses (MOOCs) aim to "build your credentials and enhance your expertise." Some of the courses offered cover a range of topics, including gender sensitivity training, principles of graphic design, social entrepreneurship, and others.

Upon successful completion of each course, participants will receive e-certificates equivalent to 16 hours of training. These certificates can be a valuable addition to one's credentials.

After completing the registration, login credentials are sent every Thursday until 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. Any requests submitted after this cut-off time will be processed in the following week.

UPOU recommends signing in to the new Massive Open Distance eLearning (MODeL) account upon receiving the email. In the final step, individuals are encouraged to change their passwords to a "strong and unique one" for added security.

Additionally, UPOU has informed that individuals with existing MODeL accounts can self-enroll in the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) directly on the UPOU website. This flexibility aims to make the learning experience more convenient for those who are already familiar with the MODeL platform.
