Anti-cybercrime operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have arrested a 27-year old man who was accused of offering dental services in exchange for sexual favors on two minors in Malabon City.
Col. Jay Guillermo, chief of the Cyber Response Unit of the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG), said the operation stemmed from the complaint of two male minors who said the suspect even posted their explicit videos online.
“The suspect misrepresented himself as a dental professional and enticed the complainants/victims to have their braces done in exchange for sexual favors and later on the explicit videos were posted online,” said Guillermo.
ACG operatives then secured a search warrant from the local court which resulted in his arrest on Friday, Jan. 26.
Seized from the suspect were hard copies of payment receipts from remittance outlets; cellular phone, desktop computer, routers and other gadgets; and dental implements which were used by the subject in making fake braces such as braces wires, dental glue, and connectors.
The suspect is now facing a case of violation of Republic Act 76 10, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse and Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
ACG investigators are now conducting a background investigation to determine the extent of the illegal operation of the suspect.
They also encouraged other victims to file a complaint.
