NBI seizes 'fake shaving razors' worth P3-M

An estimated P3 million worth of allegedly fake Gillette Rubie II and Gillette Blue II  shaving razors were seized by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Manila last Sept. 17.

In a statement, the NBI said the "fake shaving razors" were seized by the bureau's Intellectual Property Rights Division (NBI-IPRD) through a search warrant issued by the court.

“The NBI-IPRD operatives implemented a Search Warrant against H.R. Mktg. Inc. and/or JMBM Gen. It also said the operation was conducted as part of the directive of NBI Director Jaime B. Santiago to crackdown the rampant distribution and selling of counterfeit products.

Aside from the operation in Manila, the bureau said operatives of the NBI-IPRD also seized "fake products" in Cavite last Sept. 17 "at the establishment owned by Geraldine Delantar Sebastian in Barangay (village) Sampaloc 4 in Dasmarinas City, Cavite.
