Muntinlupa public schools to implement blended learning next week

The Department of Education’s Schools Division Office (SDO) in Muntinlupa announced that public schools will implement blended learning modality next week.

In an advisory issued through the Muntinlupa City government on May 3, SDO Muntinlupa said the blended learning modality will be implemented in classes in public schools from Kindergarten to Grade 11 from May 6 to 10.

Students are advised to coordinate with teachers or principals for the schedule of classes.

Blended learning, according to DepEd, is “learning delivery that combines face-to-face with any or a mix of online distance learning, modular distance learning, and TV/Radio-based Instruction.”

Students in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program in Muntinlupa will continue to have blended learning until May 11.

It is up to private schools to decide about the learning modalities of their classes.

The shift to blended learning is due to the extreme heat being experienced in the country.
