Garbo, the League of Cities of the Philippines' (LCP) Focal Person for Health, told the people to stay hydrated, protect their skin from excessive Sun exposure, and be vigilant against the potential risks associated with hot weather.
"To my kabalens (constituents), please take care during this very hot season. Always drink water to rehydrate and protect your skin from overexposure from the sun," he said.
Garbo also reminded residents to be vigilant against pertussis or whooping cough.
“I have instructed our City Health Office and rural health units (RHUs) in Mabalacat City to closely monitor the situation regarding pertussis,” he said.
Although no cases have been recorded here, Garbo urged the people to be always informed and take preventive measures against this highly contagious respiratory disease.
