The financial grant is part of the Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) program of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in cooperation with the office of Cavite 1st District Rep. Jolo Revilla.

The program aims to provide a one-time fixed grant to college students for their school-related expenses.

The top 100 scholars from Rosario, Noveleta, Kawit, and Cavite City were selected based on their general weighted average during the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023.

“Kayo talaga ang inspirasyon namin sa paglilingkod, dahil naniniwala ako na ngayon ay talagang panahon ng ating mga kabataan (You all are our inspiration to serve, because I believe that now is the time of our youth),” Revilla said.

The congressman also expressed gratitude to the parents and guardians of the college scholars for supporting and guiding the youth.

The first batch of the district’s top 100 scholars received their P25,000 grant in January.
