Defending champion Falcons APBren shrugged off an opening game hiccup and fended off a tough stand from RSG Philippines, 3-1, to punch its ticket to the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, joining fellow qualifier Liquid ECHO.

Marco “Super Marco” Requitano showed exactly why he was adjudged as the regular season MVP, spearheading the Beehive to three victories in the thrilling back-and-forth affair.

The APBren star gold laner took over in the late game on Game 2 to tow his team to a thrilling 15-16 win and even the series. FCAP took control of the contest from early to mid game but RSG came back roaring in the late game thanks to the power spike of their gold lane Moskov pick.

Super Marco on the Claude however scored a crucial double kill in a huge 21-minute clash to help FCAP score a 4-2 trade and equalize the series.

Falcons APBren then escaped by the skin of its teeth in Game 3 as Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel on the Vexana pick respawned in time to clear a huge wave of minions trying to take down their base.

That base defense gave APBren time to drag the match into the late game where Super Marco seamlessly took over on his Moskov to finish with a perfect 5-0-4 KDA in another 9-11 come-from-behind win.

There was simply no stopping Super Marco from there as a crucial double kill in the EXP lane allowed APBren to seize control of Game 4. He then followed it up with another triple kill in the next Lord dance, putting the dagger to the hearts of the Raiders and closing out the series, 14-5.
