Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig inaugurates renovated facilities


The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) together with the city government on Wednesday, April 24, inaugurated its renovation project showcasing an array of modernized facilities aimed at enhancing the overall learning experience of its students.

Attended by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and other city government and PLP officials, the event showcased the school's freshly painted facade and lobby, brand-new passenger elevators, and newly revamped auditorium equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technology and LED wall to accommodate a wide range of academic and cultural events.

The school also showcased its newly constructed gymnasium providing students with a dedicated space to engage in physical fitness activities and sports.

Other improvements include:

- Replacement of flooring at NAL (Nursing)

- Improvement/restoration of all staircases

- Various ceilings, doors, windows, tiles, furniture and fixtures, etc

- Plumbing works

- Waterproofing works

- Exterior and interior repainting

- Front desk granite installation

- Incubation area (Ground Floor)

- Cleaning of air conditioning system

- Construction of Library Discussion Room

- Improvement of EE and ECE Laboratories

In his speech, Sotto emphasized the significance of sense of ownership for students and stakeholders of the university, urging them to maintain the facilities. He had also underscored the local government's continued commitment in enhancing the quality of education.

“Bilang inyong lokal na pamahalaan, asahan po ninyo kung ano pang pwedeng maitulong at ano pang pwedeng gawin para mapalakas pa ang ating unibersidad at para makatulong sa ating mga mag-aaral, hindi po tayong magdadalawang-isip. Lahat po ng ginagawa natin ay para sa inyong mga mag-aaral at kabataan (As your local government, rest assured that we will do everything we can to help enhance our university and help our students. All of these that we are doing is for the sake of our youth)," Sotto noted.
