Vice President Duterte’s trust rating also decreased from 87 to 83 percent.
Seventy-one percent of Filipinos are satisfied with President Marcos’ performance in July, a decrease from the 80 percent recorded in March.
The survey also showed that 82 percent of Filipinos are satisfied with Vice President Duterte’s performance, slightly down from 84 percent.

Despite registering lower ratings, most Filipinos continue to trust and approve of President Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte in the second quarter of 2023, OCTA’s Tugon ng Masa survey results bared.
The survey results released on Tuesday, Sept. 26 revealed a decrease in President Marcos’ trust rating from 83 percent in March 2023 to 75 percent in July 2023.
However, only 8 percent of Filipinos expressed “distrust” in him, while the remaining 17 percent were undecided.
Vice President Duterte’s trust rating also decreased from 87 percent in the first quarter to 83 percent in the second quarter.
Only two percent of the respondents distrust her, while 14 percent remain undecided.
Lowest trust rating from Class ABC
President Marcos’ trust ratings ranged from 63 to 81 percent across major areas, with the highest in Metro Manila at 81 percent and the lowest in Visayas at 63 percent.
OCTA pointed out that his trust ratings in the Visayas decreased by 28 percentage points, while his ratings in Metro Manila increased by five percentage points.
The President’s trust ratings also varied across socio-economic classes, with the highest in Class D and E at 76 percent and the lowest in Class ABC at 63 percent.
Meanwhile, Vice President Duterte trust ratings ranged from 75 to 97 percent across major areas, with the highest in Mindanao at 97 percent and the lowest in Balance Luzon at 75 percent.
Her trust ratings also varied across socio-economic classes, with the highest rating in Class E at 92 percent and the lowest in Class ABC at 78 percent.
The Vice President’s trust rating in Balance Luzon decreased by eight percentage points, but her trust rating in Metro Manila increased by three percentage points since March 2023, OCTA said.
PBBM’s performance rating down ‘significantly’ in Visayas
OCTA said 71 percent of Filipinos are satisfied with President Marcos’ performance, a decrease from the 80 percent recorded in March.
However, only 10 percent are currently dissatisfied with the President’s performance, while 19 percent of adult Filipinos are undecided.
OCTA said that President Marcos’ satisfaction ratings ranged from 65 to 74 percent in major areas, with the highest in Metro Manila at 73 percent and Balance Luzon at 74 percent, and the lowest in Visayas at 65 percent.
His satisfaction ratings also varied by socio-economic class, with the highest satisfaction ratings from adult Filipinos in Class D at 71 percent and Class E at 72 percent, and Class ABC at 62 percent.
OCTA noted a significant decrease in President Marcos’ satisfaction rating in Visayas, by 24 percentage points, and among Class ABC, by 22 percentage points.
VP Sara registers higher performance ratings in Mindanao, among Class E
The survey also showed that 82 percent of Filipinos are satisfied with Vice President Duterte’s performance, slightly down from 84 percent in March 2023.
Only four percent are dissatisfied with the Vice President’s performance, and 14 percent remain undecided.
Her satisfaction ratings ranged from 73 to 96 percent, with the highest in Mindanao at 96 percent, and the lowest in Metro Manila at 73 percent and Balance Luzon at 74 percent, OCTA said.
The Vice President’s satisfaction ratings also ranged from 73 to 91 percent, with the highest rating coming from Class E (91 percent), and the lowest from Class ABC (73 percent).
Across different major areas, OCTA said that satisfaction ratings of Vice President Duterte increased by at least four percentage points in Mindanao, while it decreased by 14 percentage points among Class ABC.
Her satisfaction rating, however, increased by seven percent among Filipinos belonging to Class E.
Zubiri, Romualdez enjoy high trust, approval ratings
OCTA also found that Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri and Speaker Martin Romualdez received trust ratings of 56 percent and 54 percent, respectively, which increased by six percentage points and decreased by one percentage point from the previous survey.
Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo’s trust rating, meanwhile, decreased by 12 percentage points to 27 percent.
Meanwhile, the satisfaction ratings for Zubiri and Romualdez are 57 percent and 55 percent, respectively, with the highest ratings in Mindanao and Visayas, respectively.
Gesmundo has a 28 percent satisfaction rating, with the highest ratings in Metro Manila and Class ABC.
The Second Quarter 2023 Tugon ng Masa survey, which was conducted from July 22 to 26, interviewed 1,200 adult respondents nationwide.
The survey has a ±3 percent margin of error at a 95 percent confidence level, with ±6 percent margins of error for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
