BATANGAS CITY – Candidates signed a covenant to ensure a peaceful barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections next month in the province of Batangas.
They signed the agreement following a unity walk initiated by the Batangas Police Provincial Office on Saturday, September 16, at the Batangas City Sports Complex.
Batangas police chief Police Col. Samson Belmonte said the unity walk and peace covenant were carried out to ensure that various government agencies and candidates would fulfill their duty to make the elections peaceful, fair, and safe.
"The Batangas Police Provincial Office is united with the people for a peaceful, fair, and safe election. I remind the community to be united in the activities and duties of various government agencies in preparation for the upcoming elections,” said Belmonte.
