Erwin Tulfo leads potential 2025 senatorial election bets, OCTA’s Q2 2023 survey shows

ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo has the statistical chance of leading the May 2025 senatorial elections if they were held during the survey period, OCTA Research’s 2nd quarter of 2023 survey results showed.

According to an advance copy of the survey results provided to the Manila Bulletin on Wednesday, Aug. 9, Tulfo had a significant lead, with 73 percent of Filipinos supporting him.

Tulfo was joined in the list of probable winners mostly by current or former members of the Senate, OCTA said.

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go finished second with 55 percent of the voters’ preference.

Former Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III came in 3rd to 4th place, with 49 percent.

Meanwhile, Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa received 44 percent, placing 3rd to 5th.

Senator Imee Marcos landed in the 4th to 6th spot, with an overall voting preference of 43 percent.

Former Senator Manny Pacquiao took the 5th to 10th place with 38 percent.

Sharing the 6th to 10th places were Senator Pia Cayetano (37 percent), Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. (36 percent), former Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso (35 percent), and Senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid (33 percent).

Meanwhile, former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Francis Tolentino have an overall voting preference of 26 percent (11th to 13th place) and 23 percent (11th to 15th place), respectively.

Completing the list of probable winners were former Vice President Noli De Castro, with 21 percent (11th to 16th place), and Dr. Willie Ong and TV personality Willie Revillame, both with 19 percent (12th to 20th place).

The “Tugon ng Masa” survey fieldwork was conducted from July 22 to 26, using face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents aged 18 and up.
