Official trailer for 'A Haunting in Venice' out, promises murder, the supernatural, and a fantastic locale

Murder, mystery, mayhem, and Michelle Yeoh - this is going to be good!

Haunting Featured Image-min.jpg The official trailer for the supernatural murder mystery film "A Haunting in Venice" was released today, to the delight of Agatha Christie and Kenneth Branagh fans. The upcoming film is also a reunion for Branagh and Christie, as the actor has previously starred in two other films based on her works: "Murder on the Orient Express" (2017) and "Death on the Nile" (2022).

For our part, the prospect of combining a murder mystery and the supernatural is incentive enough to watch this film. The star-studded cast, with Branagh on helm as director, is just icing on the cake, especially with Michelle Yeoh in the cast.

The film stars Branagh, reprising his role as Hercule Poirot, alongside Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Michelle Yeoh.

It is based on the Agatha Christie novel, "Hallowe'en Party."

The film is set in post-World War II Venice on All Hallows' Eve. Poirot, now retired and living in self-imposed exile, reluctantly attends a seance. But when one of the guests is murdered, it is up to the former detective to once again uncover the killer.

"A Haunting in Venice" is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 15, 2023, by 20th Century Studios. No word yet on the Philippine release.
