Welder arrested for raping niece in Batangas  


BAUAN, Batangas – A 26-year-old welder was arrested on Monday, June 5, for allegedly raping his niece four years ago here.

Batangas Police Provincial Office head Police Col. Rainerio de Chavez identified the suspect as Brian Roi Hernandez, a resident of San Pascual, Batangas.

Hernandez was arrested on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 1 Batangas dated Sept.  19, 2022 at the suspect's residence in San Pascual.

The suspect allegedly raped his niece in December 2018.

No bail was recommended by the court and he is now under the custody of Bauan Municipal Police Station.

Hernandez was listed as the most wanted person for the crime of rape on the regional level, De Chavez said.

De Chavez said they will boost intelligence gathering to arrest more fugitives and keep peace in the province.
