There are talks that ‘It’s Showtime’ may soon be GMA Network’s new flagship noontime show.

Effective immediately, ABS-CBN’s long-running program (14 years) will be seen on GTV, a subsidiary of GMA, following a special arrangement between the two formerly warring networks but who are now close friends.

‘It’s Showtime’ has been booted out of TV5, which favored the old "Eat Bulaga" team of Tito, Vic, and Joey.

TVJ’s new show is said to be called ‘This is E.A.T.’ and not "Eat Bulaga." So, who owns ‘Eat Bulaga,’ the title now? Production company TAPE swears it has the legal papers to prove it.

It also doesn’t appear impossible that TAPE will soon be a co-producer to "Showtime." As you know, wonders never cease.

PASSERBY: Bianca Umali echoes the sentiment of her equally young co-stars in “Mananambal,” which allows them the rare opportunity of acting opposite National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Nora Aunor.

At 70, Nora continues to attract good roles in potentially artistic films. “Mananambal,” a horror-drama about traditional healers and sorcery, will be filmed in Siquijor, Negros island starting this month, directed by Philip Daffon.

FREE LIVESTREAMING: ABS-CBN’s livestreaming service, Kapamilya Online Live, is now available live and on-demand in Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel.

The free offering is the network’s way of thanking its viewers for their continued support after it achieved a digital milestone on Kapamilya Online Live when its three primetime shows amassed over 251 million total views last May.  These include “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” “The Iron Heart,” "Dirty Linen."

‘ISANG GABI NG SARSUWELA:’ Am stepping out, daring to once more brave heavy traffic on Roxas Boulevard to catch Isang Gabi ng Sarsuwela, featuring excerpts and songs from classic and contemporary sarsuwela works, on June 30, 7:30 pm, and July 1, 3 pm, at the Tanghalang Ignacio B.
