DepEd to finalize calendar for School Year 2023-2024

Poa gave an update on the preparations for the opening of the School Year (SY) in an interview on the sidelines of the [Language and Inclusion Summit](https://mb.com.ph/2023/5/15/dep-ed-to-hold-language-and-inclusion-summit) held at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. As part of the preparations for the opening of the incoming school year, DepEd has started the conduct of Early Registration for public schools on May 10 and will end on June 9. The Early Registration is for incoming Kindergarten, Grades 1, 7, and 11 learners in public schools. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, DepEd opened the SY 2020-2021 on Oct. 5 and SY 2021-2022 on Sept. 13 under distance learning.
