59 Caraga region cops finish basic course in investigation


CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Fifty-nine police officers of Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) completed their Investigation Officers Basic Course at this region’s police headquarters on Wednesday, April 19.

PRO 13 Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra ll congratulated the 59 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) for successfully completing the Investigation Officers Basic Course (IOBC).

These PCOs, who came from the different police stations, offices and national support units, underwent 45 days of training.

The region’s top cop is hoping that the training will translate into a major breakthrough that will improve the crime solution efficiency and crime clearance efficiency of PRO 13.

“Keep up the good work,” he told the 59 PCOs.

During the ceremony on Wednesday, P/Brig. Gen. Samuel C. Nacion, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM), graced the occasion as the guest of honor and speaker who was welcomed with arrival honors.

"The DIDM is delighted that our police officers are interested in the investigation course,” he said.

“As the burden to solve crimes lies upon the shoulder of an investigator, the knowledge and skills you have acquired from this course will come in handy,” Brig. Gen. Nacion added.
