Xian Lim

Xian Lim recently renewed his contract as a director and actor with Viva Artists Agency for another five years. Questions were asked if Xian will be willing to helm his real-life girlfriend Kim Chiu, as they form part of the popular love team dubbed by fans KimXi.

Under the new contract with Viva, Xian will do a minimum of five films within a span of five years.

"If given the chance to direct Kim, oo naman," the talented actor stated. " Ang sarap naman nun, yung partner mo, makakasama mo sa set, para lang kayong naglalaro."

(I would say yes if given the chance to direct Kim. That would be so nice, working with your partner on the set like you're both just playing.)

Asked what film genre he would like to direct Kim in, Xian revealed: "love story definitely, Kaya lang baka mahirapan kasi sya yung direktor ko (laughs). Malakas kasi ang imagination at vision ni Kim, especially when she's acting. She knows what she wants. So that will be the challenge."

Xian said he does not mind if Kim has another leading man, so he can just focus on directing her.

"Nag-mature na ang relationship namin to a point na kaya na namin panoorin ang isa't-isa na merong partner. Kim's always gonna be partnered with other leading men, ako naman with other leading ladies. She will have kissing scenes, I will have kissing scenes. Given na yan sa profession namin," he pointed out.

Presently, Xian is paired with Ashley Ortega in the figure skating drama " Hearts on Ice" on GMA Telebabad prime time. " We're having so much fun doing it. It's hard to do but seeing the final product gives me a good feeling. It's definitely an out-of-the-box concept and something new in the eyes of the viewers."

After "Hearts on Ice." Xian will wrap up work on another GMA TV series," Love.Die. Repeat." The shooting of the teleserye started in 2021 but got delayed due to the pandemic lockdowns and the pregnancy of its lead star, Jennylyn Mercado.

Viva Communications President & CEO Vincent Del Rosario III announced that part of the five-year plan is to further tap Xian's musical side. " As you can see, Xian is a complete package. We saw his musical side, and we're also impressed. He can do the theme song of a movie or a film score, or perhaps mount a concert."

Xian expressed amazement that his five years with Viva went by really fast, and now he's ready for another five.

"Five years went by really fast. It was a very busy time. At first, I had these thoughts that Viva might not utilize me to the fullest, but they stayed true to their promise. I was continuously working, and I felt that my efforts were appreciated. They exceeded my expectations and so, here we are," Xian remarked during the contract signing with top Viva executives Vincent and Valerie Del Rosario, and Veronique Del Rosario-Corpus.
