Flash Express strengthens CSR efforts through 'Alagang Flash'; Engages in a number of outreach initiatives

The fastest-growing logistics and courier service provider in the Philippines, Flash Express, has been enhancing its corporate social responsibility (CSR) by carrying out a number of outreach and donation programs to the various communities and the government organizations.

According to AR Polinar, the deputy director of Flash Express Marketing, the company not only promises to deliver goods to Filipinos but also to support a charity that helps the neighborhood they live in.

"We launched 'Alagang Flash'with the core message of 'Tagapaghatid ng Serbisyong may Kalinga' to send the message across our community including our employees, government organizations, clients business partners and customers that our organization is their partner not only through Flash Express' delivery services but also as their partner in nation-building through our CSR programs," Polinar said.

On February 25, 2023, the corporation carried out a reach-out operation in the Tondo neighborhood of Manila and distributed packages of commodities and clothing to various family beneficiaries. These recipients are people who live close to Flash Express' warehouse in Tondo, Manila.

On March 1, 2023, Flash Express had a courtesy call with Pasig City Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski and expressed its support to the city's health and wellness programs by donating over 265,000 pairs of medical supplies to support the city's medical assistance program covering all barangays of Pasig City. Flash Express also discussed its intention to support the city's business programs that will benefit the MSMEs, especially the online sellers.

The company also visited the health workers in Barrio Obrero Health Center in Manila and donated sets of medical supplies on March 1, 2023.

PR & Partnerships Manager Reginald Rex Pumihic said that although the company has been conducting CSR activities for the past two years since Flash Express was launched in the Philippines, they had to reinforce their CSR campaigns through 'Alagang Flash'.

"Since Flash Express serves a lot of communities, we want to centralize all our programs in order to bring our CSR efforts closer to these communities. We have set different CSR activities targeted to every community of Flash Express involving our employees, business partners, clients, partner-foundations and government organizations," Pumihic shared.

Flash Express has already made a number of CSR contributions to the community during its first year of operations in the Philippines. To name a few, the Rated K "tsinelas" donation drive, the ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya program Tulong-Tulong sa Pagbangon, and many donations made to the community and its workers amid disasters.
