The Social Security System (SSS) has issued a reminder to all employers and collection partners to ensure the timely remittance of employees' contributions for the third quarter and October before the end of the current year.
As per Circular No. 2023-010, which was signed by SSS President and CEO Rolando Ledesma Macasaet, the pension fund has emphasized that both business and household employers, along with coverage and collection partners (CCPs), are mandated to remit their contribution collections no later than Dec. 29.
In addition to the contribution remittance requirements, the SSS has also reminded employers of the deadline for submitting sickness notifications for employees who were home-confined from Oct. 20 to Dec. 19, 2023. This notification submission deadline is also set for Dec. 29 of this year.

Based on a SSS circular posted on its website, the pension fund for the private sector stated that business and household employers, as well as coverage and collection partners (CCPs) are required to remit their contribution collections no later than Dec. 29.
The SSS circular pertains to contributions for September and October for business employers, while for household employees, it applies to the months of July, August, and September.
Furthermore, CCPs are expected to remit their SSS contribution collections for the third quarter by the final business day of 2023.
In addition to members' contributions, the SSS has also reminded employers that the deadline for submitting sickness notifications for employees who were home confined from Oct. 20 to Dec. 19, 2023, is Dec. 29 of this year.

Meanwhile, the pension fund said it continues to operate the Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) program, wherein pension fund officials track down companies who have yet to remit their employees’ contributions.
Began on April 2023, RACE provides violation notices in order to protect the rights of the business employees against contribution evaders.
