“So far, no untoward incidents reported except for the situation in Lapat Balantay, Tineg, Abra,” DepEd Undersecretary and Spokesperson Michael Poa told reporters in a Viber message.

Based on reports, an alleged shootout in the Abra town prompted the deployment of more special poll board members.

Poa said that DepEd is in coordination with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) regarding the matter.

As reported, a group disrupted the BSKE voting and destroyed ballots during the election in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

“Thankfully, wala naman pong naşaktan sa mga teachers natin doon (Thankfully, none of our teachers there were hurt),” Poa said.
