Preparing meals on your next outdoor adventure is not limiting if you are creative. This was one of the tips shared during “Ford & Adventure,” an experiential event mounted by Ford Philippines for its customers and Ford Ranger Club admins and members, to showcase the versatility and capability of the Next-Generation Ranger for al fresco pursuits.

Held at the Ford Marikina dealership, the occasion is part of the extended celebration of Ford Truck Month, designed to showcase why the Next-Gen Ranger is a perfect partner in several outdoor activities, including camping, overlanding, and off-road driving, among others.

One of the highlights was sharing of best practices on outdoor cooking and food packing for outdoor trips led by celebrity chef and popular food content creator Gerick Manalo, who gave tips on preparing food for long road trips, especially if fresh ingredients are brought at the campsite.

Part of it, Gerick says, is knowing the expected amenities onsite as well as what tools campers can bring with them. When taking your car on a camping trip, it is handy to bring an electric induction cooker, especially in the case of Ford’s Next-Gen pick-up truck, which is equipped with a 12V socket in its tailgate, eliminating the worry of where to cook.

Aside from food storage and tips on how to maximize the Ranger’s truck bed when packing, Gerick also shared that camping food can be gourmet even when roughing it in the outdoors. Through a cooking demo, he showed participants a simple yet sumptuous Grilled Fish Picata recipe that can be prepared in just 15 minutes. It is easy to recreate.

With the Next-Gen Ranger, you don’t have to worry about going on an outdoor adventure. It’s a reliable and capable truck and it is equipped with a lot of features that will make cooking in the outdoors so easy and convenient. You worry less with a feature-packed truck and you can focus more on enjoying the food and outdoor experience with your friends and family,” says Gerick.

Ford sees itself as an enabler of its customers’ lifestyles and interests. “With Ford + Adventure, we wanted to demonstrate that the Next-Gen Ranger is suited for customers whose passion is exploring the outdoors with its improved capability and comfort, advanced safety technologies and smart connectivity that levels-up the driving experience for our customers,” says Mike Breen, Ford Philippines president and managing director. ford.com.ph
