The Malasakit program, a flagship initiative, was developed to simplify the process of accessing government medical assistance programs for underprivileged and indigent patients.

It said that the newly opened Malasakit Center at Bislig District Hospital is set to be a game-changer in the region, and this pioneering concept offers a one-stop solution by bringing together various government agencies under one roof, effectively removing the obstacles that often hinder patients from seeking essential medical assistance.

The streamlined approach ensures that patients can now access support for medical bills, lab fees, and related expenses without multiple visits and extensive paperwork.

DOH said the launch of the 159th Malasakit Center in Bislig is a significant leap forward in delivering essential healthcare services to those who need them most.

The collaboration of these prominent figures and institutions reaffirms their dedication to improving the lives of the people in the Bislig community and beyond.

Several distinguished figures, including Senator Bong Go, Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Governor Alexander T. Pimentel, Congressman Johnny T. Pimentel, Mayor Florencio C. Garay, and Director Girlie Veloso of the Malasakit Program Office, attended the event. (Zekinah Elize Espina)
