The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) condemned on Monday, Jan. 23, the killing of a 35-year old overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) whose cadaver was burned and found in the desert in Kuwait.
DMW Secretary Susan Ople said they are currently waiting for the official report of the incident from the Kuwaiti authorities regarding the killing of Jullebee Ranara.
"I urge the Kuwaiti government to work on the early resolution of the case and its perpetrators brought to justice," said Ople.
The incident involving Ranara was reported by the Kuwait media on Sunday night, including the arrest of the son of her employer.
Ople personally visited the family of Ranara in Metro Manila and assured them the department's necessary support.
"The DMW is closely monitoring developments on this case alongside the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) in working with Kuwaiti authorities," said Ople.
