The Parañaque city government conducted a two-day distribution of financial assistance to 3,465 beneficiaries of the College Education Financial Assistance Program (CEFAP).

Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution of financial assistance to the CEFAP beneficiaries on July 20 and 21 at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.

Olivarez said a total of 1,399 college students received the financial assistance during the first day of distribution and 2,066 on the second day.

Around 1,692 students with general weighted averages (GWA) ranging from 81 to 86 percent received P3,500.00 each, while the 1,773 students with GWAs of 87 percent and above received P5,000.00.

The mayor congratulated the student beneficiaries and expressed his hope that they will continue and strive to finish their studies.

He said the CEFAP is a program of the city to help students who are eager to learn but are struggling with financial problems.
