They are Antonia Alano, 100 years old (first grant), of Barangay Bagumbayan; Antonia Gavierez, 103 (fourth grant), of Barangay Hagonoy; and Maria Quintua, 101 (second grant), of Barangay North Daang Hari, who all marked their birthdays this month.

Each centenarian in Taguig receives a P100,000 cash gift upon reaching 100 years old, and will continue to receive the amount every year.

Senior citizens also get birthday cash gifts ranging from P3,000 to P10,000 depending on their age.

They also receive free medicine for diabetes, high blood and asthma; free nursing services in their homes, and free wheelchairs, canes and hearing aids.

Taguig also has a Center for the Elderly in Barangay North Signal where senior citizens can go for recreation. The center has a therapy pool, sauna, gym, ballroom area, massage room, and cinema.
