The city government of Manila announced on Saturday, March 4, the implementation of asynchronous classes in all public schools in the city starting March 6 to March 11, due to the upcoming nationwide transport strike.
Private schools in the city, meanwhile, are encouraged to switch to online classes during this time.
Various transport groups in Metro Manila will go on strike from March 6 to 12 to protest the national government’s PUV Modernization Program.
The city government of Manila on Friday, March 3, also announced that it will implement “Oplan: Libreng Sakay” or free rides to assist commuters who will be affected by the transport strike.
