Ena Mori to perform at SXSW music festival

Ena Mori is set to perform at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival this coming March.

Titled “Tiger Den,” the event will be “the first full-day music to exclusively feature artists from the Asia region and diaspora.”

The annual music event usually spotlights rising indie solo acts and bands and this year will be SXSW’s first All-Asian festival with music performers coming in from South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

19 acts in all will perform at this year's event, which will be held in Cheer Up Charlies at downtown Austin, Texas.

Apart from Ena Mori, these include headlining K-pop band Balming Tiger, Singapore’s Shye, Malaysian R&B act Lunadira, Indonesian Hip-hop artist Yacko & Tuan Tigabelas.

Of course, Ena Mori is excited.

She said, “Not only will it be my first time performing in the States but being able to represent my heritage as an Asian Artist at Tiger Den is exciting and nerve-racking at the same time.”

“I am looking forward to experiencing incredible music with many artists and meeting them in person,” she added.

Ena Mori recently released her full-length album “Don’t Blame The Wild One” on independent record label Offshore Music.
