Persons deprive of liberty (PDLs) in San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City are now allowed online visit and wake for their relatives.

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said that SRPPF has launched its “E-dalaw” (online visit) and “E-burol” (online wake) for PDLs.

“Under the dedicated leadership of SRPPF Superintendent C/Supt. Vic Domingo F. Suyat and the guidance of Acting Director General, General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr., the Bureau is committed to doing its duty in providing the needs of our PDLs in order to achieve its Mission and Vision,” BuCor said in a statement issued on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

The online programs “adhere to the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for Treatment of Prisoners, which states that inmates can contact their loved ones via electronic, digital, and other forms of communication under close monitoring and supervision in a designated area.”

It said the programs “cover only the registered visitors of PDLs.”

Thus, it said that visitors should register through Facebook accounts SRPPF DALAW III and SRPPF E-dalaw; email addresses [email protected] and [email protected]; and cellphone number 0916-255-0838.
