Rape suspect arrested in Batangas


BATANGAS -- A 57-year-old laborer was arrested for a rape complaint lodged by a minor victim during a joint police operations on Wednesday morning, Jan. 25 in San Pascual town.

Col. Pedro Soliba, Batangas Police Provincial director, identified the suspect as Francisco Rosales, a resident of the said town.

Rosales was arrested on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 1 in Batangas City on Jan. 23, 2023.

Based on the statement of a 14-year-old victim, she was molested by the suspect on June 2021 to July 7, 2022 and lastly on Aug. 10, 2022.

She was accompanied by her aunt.

The suspect was placed in a lock-up jail and no bail was recommended by the court.

He was included in the Police Regional Office Reg. 4A’s list of most wanted persons in the regional level.
