Around 40,000 runners are expected to participate in the Run 7-Eleven 2023 that will be held simultaneously in Manila, Cebu and Davao on Feb. 4 to 5.
Manila is slated to have the most number of participants with 25,000 while Cebu and Davao is expected to have 8,000 and 7,000 runners in this event aimed at promoting an active lifestyle.
This year’s edition will feature two new categories in the Manila leg: the 42-kilometer Masters Category for 60 years old and above, as well as the 1K fun run for kids.
New venues in the Cebu leg will also be introduced: at the SM Seaside City with the inclusion of the CCLEX on the route.
Race categories are 42K, 32K, 21K, 16K, 10K Buddy Run, 10K, 5K, 3K and 1K.
Except for the 1K fun run for kids, all race categories offer cash prizes for the Top 3 winners.
Top 3 Filipino male and female winners of the 21K, 32K and 42K will also get a chance to compete in an international running event.
Some previous winners have competed in races in Cambodia, Vietnam, Korea and Thailand.
