A partnership to bring help to disaster-affected families


Shopee recently partnered with Unilab to provide aid to those affected by the widespread fire in Mandaue and Typhoon Paeng that hit Cavite. Shopee delivered 40,000 medicine tablets and 14,000 bottles of vitamins donated by Unilab for over 250 families in Bacoor, Cavite who were affected by severe tropical storm Paeng. They also gave assistance to over 350 families in Mandaue, Cebu who were displaced due to a massive fire.

Shopee and Unilab Relief Operations

These efforts are part of Shopee Bayanihan that provides support for communities in need through partnerships with various companies and humanitarian organizations. According to Martin Yu, Director of Shopee Philippines, Shopee has always been committed to serve the local community through the use of their platform and resources. He shared, "We are sorry to hear about the people affected by Typhoon Paeng, and the huge fire that displaced our fellow Filpinos. We partnered with Unilab to help the affected families and individuals in need during this difficult time. We hope to be able to work with Unilab again, as well as more organizations that share our belief, so that we can better serve all Filipinos wherever they are in the country.”
