HINGYON, Ifugao – Residents from the remote barangays of this town availed of free dental check-up, and medical consultation with free medicines in a medical mission initiated by the Ifugao Provincial Police Office and Nueva Vizcaya PPO.
The medical mission was held on Saturday, July 30, at the Barangay Health Station, Halingat, Northern Cababuyan, Hingyon, Ifugao in celebration of the 27th Police Community Relation Month with the theme ‘Ugnayang Pulisya at Komunidad Tungo sa Mapayapa, Maayos at Maunlad na Pamayanan.’
Lt. Lorna Butac, public information officer, said residents from both Barangay North and South Cababuyan, as well as other nearby barangays were able to avail of free dental check-up and tooth extraction, free medical consultation with free medicines prescribed by medical doctors.
Circumcision was also offered for free, with patients also taking home free slippers and treated with ice cream.
The other members of the Philippine National Police provided free haircuts to the children.
According to Butac, the IPPO decided to make the end of the celebration 27th Police Relations Month meaningful, with the NVPPO becoming a partner and the activities were successfully carried out with the help of the local government unit, Abeya and Solonio Pharmacy who donated medicines, volunteers and barangay officials.
Col. James Mangili and Col. Ranser Evasco, both provincial director, said the activity aims to inspire and spread the love, joy and blessings to those in need, making the beneficiaries feel that the government truly cares for them through the initiative of the PNP and support from partners and stakeholders for them to enjoy living in their community.
“Thank you sir! Thank you ma'am! Thank you Doc, Thank you! Thank you!” the beneficiaries said after availing of free services from the team of doctors, dentist, and cops in the medical mission.
