A little less than half of Filipinos see the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as “equally good” as past administrations, based on the results of “Pahayag” 2022 End of the Year survey of Publicus Asia, which was released on Friday, Dec. 16.

In the survey conducted from Nov. 25 to 30, 1,500 adult respondents were asked to compare the performance of the Marcos administration in the first six months with the past administrations.

Forty-five percent perceive the Marcos administration to be “equally as good as the past administration,” 32 percent perceive it to be “better than some/best compared to previous administration,” and 23 percent consider it “worse than some/worst compared to past administration.”

During the same survey period, respondents were asked to pick the top five Cabinet members under the Marcos administration who they were most satisfied with when it came to their overall performance in the past six months.

Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo and Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte received the highest satisfaction ratings, with 65 percent and 61 percent, respectively.

Rounding out the top five members of the current Cabinet are President Marcos himself—who is also the Department of Agriculture Secretary, Department of Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, and Department of Health officer-in-charge Ma. Rosario Vergeire, with satisfaction ratings of 50 percent, 32 percent, and 25 percent, respectively.
